Pathaan’s Song Besharam Rang , a copy of French Song Makeba alleges netizens
The song “Besharam Rang” from the movie “Pathaan,” which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, has been online for two days, but it is still a hot topic of conversation.
The song is now the subject of plagiarism claims after Twitterati went crazy about Deepika’s daring new avatar and Shah Rukh’s shirtless moments and cracked up at the memes.
The Hindi song, which has amassed 32 million views on YouTube, has been dogged by claims that a section of it was lifted verbatim from French singer-songwriter Jain’s smash hit song “Makeba.” Many people pointed out the startling parallels between “Makeba” and the “Besharam Rang” entrance mix on Twitter.
“The moment heard #Besharam Rang I was thinking where the hell I heard these beats before, well took me a while figured that this is Makeba by Jain,” read a tweet that went on to slam musicians Vishal and Shekhar. .
