Paresh Rawal Returns to ‘Hera Pheri 3’ After Rift Resolved with Help from Industry Giants

Firoz Nadiadwala credits Sajid Nadiadwala, Ahmed Khan, and Akshay Kumar for reuniting the beloved ‘Hera Pheri’ trio with Priyadarshan at the helm.

After weeks of speculation and heartbreak among fans, the much-loved ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise is officially back on track—with Paresh Rawal returning as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. His unexpected exit from Hera Pheri 3 had sent shockwaves across Bollywood circles, but now, the storm has passed.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, producer Firoz Nadiadwala confirmed that the internal differences were smoothed out thanks to the intervention of long-time collaborators and friends. “With love, respect, and the kind guidance of my brother Sajid Nadiadwala, and also Mr Ahmed Khan, the Hera Pheri family is back together,” he shared. He emphasized that Sajid personally invested time and effort over several days to ensure the core team came back on board.

Firoz also acknowledged Akshay Kumar’s quiet yet impactful role in mending fences, saying, “Akshay ji has always been a close friend. He was kind, affectionate, and deeply involved in resolving the issues. Our bond goes back to 1996.” He further added that director Priyadarshan, along with stars Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, were all equally cooperative.

Confirming the news of his return, Paresh Rawal humorously addressed the delay on Himanshu Mehta’s podcast: “Pehle bhi aane hi waali thi, bas thoda fine-tuning zaruri tha (The film was always on the cards, we just needed a little fine-tuning).” He added that all involved, including Akshay and Suniel, share a deep-rooted friendship that goes back decades, making their creative disagreements easier to overcome.

With the original trio now reunited under Priyadarshan’s direction, Hera Pheri 3 promises to be a nostalgic rollercoaster packed with laughter, chaos, and desi madness—just the way fans like it.
