Paresh Rawal Reflects on ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ Ahead of 4K Re-Release
As the cult classic returns to theaters on April 25, Rawal shares insights on working with Aamir and Salman Khan, and the film’s unique comedic charm.

As the iconic comedy Andaz Apna Apna gears up for a grand 4K re-release on April 25, veteran actor Paresh Rawal reminisces about his experience working on the film. In a recent interview with Radio Nasha, Rawal delved into the contrasting working styles of co-stars Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, and the distinctive comedic atmosphere that set this film apart from his other projects.
“Salman’s charm is effortless; he brings a breezy energy to the set,” Rawal noted. “Aamir, on the other hand, is methodical and detail-oriented. Sometimes it felt a bit manufactured, but the final result was always impressive.”

Reflecting on the filming process, Rawal shared, “Typically, during comedy shoots, we don’t laugh at our own jokes. But with Andaz Apna Apna, we were genuinely enjoying ourselves. Director Rajkumar Santoshi’s approach made every scene fun, and we knew deep down it was something special.”
Despite its initial lukewarm reception in 1994, Andaz Apna Apna has since achieved cult status. The upcoming re-release, restored in 4K with Dolby 5.1 sound, aims to introduce this classic to a new generation while rekindling nostalgia among longtime fans. The film’s return to theaters is a testament to its enduring appeal and the timeless humor that continues to resonate with audiences today.
