Pankaj Tripathi’s Candid Revelation: Why He’s Pumping the Brakes on New Projects

Pankaj Tripathi, the acclaimed actor who recently clinched the Best Supporting Actor award at the 69th National Film Awards for his remarkable performance in “Mimi,” and has been basking in the success of his latest hits, “OMG 2” and “Fukrey 3,” has opened up about his decision to slow down on signing new projects.

In an exclusive interview with PTI, Pankaj Tripathi candidly shared, “I’ve chosen to take a step back from signing new films because I’m feeling exhausted. There have been instances where I couldn’t recall which film a particular shot was for or what exactly transpired during the shoot. That’s not an ideal situation to be in. I found myself acting for 340 days straight, and now, I’ve decided to change that.”

Reflecting on his past choices, Tripathi explained, “I was drawn to those stories, and that’s why I became a part of them. The problem arises when you’re hungry; you tend to overindulge, just as when you have a delectable feast before you. Similarly, I was inundated with work, and I ended up overcommitting.”

Pankaj Tripathi’s Upcoming Endeavors

Pankaj Tripathi’s next venture is “Main Atal Hoon,” a biographical film centered on the life of the former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The film is helmed by acclaimed director Ravi Jadhav, known for his National Award-winning movies like “Natarang” and “Balgandharva.”

“Main Atal Hoon” is set to hit the screens in December, promising to be a compelling cinematic experience.
