Nora Fatehi Slams Bollywood’s Dirty PR Games: “Stop Using My Name to Sell Your Songs”

The dance icon opens up about unethical industry practices, revealing how stars and PR agencies exploit her name to promote rival projects.

Nora Fatehi, one of Bollywood’s most dynamic performers, has broken her silence on the manipulative PR tactics plaguing the industry. In a candid conversation with BBC Asian Network, Nora called out the unethical promotional strategies that involve using her name to drum up hype for other artists’ songs.

The actress and dancer, known for her chart-topping hits like Dilbar and O Saki Saki, expressed her frustration over being dragged into unnecessary comparisons—often orchestrated by PR agencies aiming to pit her against other performers. “Everyone should have the space to act and perform songs,” she said. “What bothers me is when my name becomes a marketing tool. It’s unfair.”

Nora highlighted a growing trend where negative narratives are deliberately circulated to overshadow her success. She revealed, “I know exactly who’s behind this. I know how much money it takes to run those kinds of PR campaigns. I get approached with offers to do the same, but I refuse. I won’t tear someone else down to get ahead.”

Despite facing industry politics and backhanded tactics, Nora remains confident in her abilities. She firmly believes that talent and hard work will always rise above manipulative PR stunts. “If a song is a hit, it should be because people love the performance and the music,” she said, “not because someone’s trying to replace another artist.”

With an impressive track record of blockbuster performances, Nora Fatehi continues to be one of Bollywood’s most sought-after entertainers—unapologetically carving her own path, on her own terms.
