Noel Gallagher’s Unexpected Beef with Adele: The Inside Story of a Surprise Showdown

Noel Gallagher, the outspoken former Oasis rocker, recently ignited a feud with Adele, calling her music “offensive” and likening her to the late Cilla Black. In a surprising revelation, Noel shared that his distaste for the multi-award-winning singer began when she sent an assistant to extend an invitation to hang out with her.

Speaking candidly on ‘The Matt Morgan Podcast,’ Noel Gallagher explained, “I don’t think I have ever gone out of my way to start anything; it’s always been a reaction to some f****** idiot having a go in the first place. You know me, I keep myself to myself.”

When it was pointed out that Adele had never publicly criticized him, the High Flying Birds frontman retorted, “No, but she sent someone over to f****** ask, ‘Did I want to meet her?’. That’s what riled me. I’m not one for causing a scene; I just stick it in the vault and think revenge is a dish best served cold.”

Noel Gallagher is no stranger to expressing his opinions and has clashed with various artists in the past, including his brother Liam Gallagher, Sam Smith, and Damon Albarn. Last month, he issued a scathing assessment of Adele’s music on the same podcast, stating, “F*** off, f****** hell. Name one? They’re f****** s***. It’s f****** awful. It’s f****** Cilla Black. I find it and that whole thing offensive.”

Despite the ongoing feud, Noel Gallagher hinted that he might consider writing songs for artists like Adele and Lewis Capaldi in the future. The 56-year-old musician said, “If I fall out of love with touring, I could see myself just sitting at home writing songs and sending them to my publishers. I might in the future. I’ll be saying, ‘Get Adele to sing that. Don’t call until she’s done the guide vocal.’ I want Lewis Capaldi to murder this song, I want him to s*** on it from a great height. Make me rich.”
