New Arrest Highlights Ongoing Threats to Salman Khan’s Safety

25-Year-Old Arrested for Sending Threatening Videos Amidst Ongoing Investigations

The safety of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan remains a critical concern following a series of alarming incidents. In the latest development, the Mumbai Cyber Police have apprehended Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, a 25-year-old from Rajasthan, for sending threatening videos targeting the actor. This arrest follows a series of troubling events, including a gunshot attack at Khan’s Bandra residence.

Gujar, hailing from a village in Bundi district, posted videos on YouTube discussing the Bishnoi Gang and hinting at potential harm to Salman Khan. The authorities acted swiftly, dispatching a team to Boarda village where Gujar was arrested. He faces charges under sections 506(2), 504, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as section 66(d) of the Information Technology (IT) Act.

This arrest comes on the heels of an earlier incident where two motorbike riders fired multiple rounds outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra on April 14. Following this, Mumbai Police recorded detailed statements from Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz Khan. The interrogation, which took place on June 4, lasted nearly four hours for Salman and over two hours for Arbaaz. During the questioning, Salman revealed he was at home and awakened by the sound of a bullet hitting his balcony. Arbaaz, although not present at the scene, provided insights based on previous threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The police believe the Bishnoi gang orchestrated the attack. Despite numerous threats, the gang has not demanded money from Khan. In connection with the April 14 shooting, the police arrested Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal in Gujarat, along with four others. However, the case took a tragic turn when suspect Anuj Thapan reportedly committed suicide in police custody on May 1.

In another related case, Navi Mumbai Police recently detained five individuals, including a suspected member of the Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs from Haryana, for plotting to attack Salman Khan.

Salman Khan has expressed gratitude to the Mumbai police for their prompt actions and continuous efforts to ensure his safety. As investigations continue, the actor’s family, friends, and fans remain deeply concerned for his well-being.
