Kartik Aaryan Addresses ₹50 Crore Fee Rumors Amidst New Film Announcement
The actor clarifies speculation surrounding his remuneration for the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ with Karan Johar.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan responded to reports claiming he charged ₹50 crore for his role in the upcoming film ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Aaryan questioned the focus on his alleged fee, stating, “Am I the only actor who has received such a price? Nobody writes about others. Everyone writes about me.”
Addressing speculation about a strong public relations strategy, Aaryan dismissed the notion, emphasizing his lack of industry connections: “I don’t have a spokesperson. I don’t have a family here. I don’t have my uncle, or my dad or my sister or my girlfriend spreading positivity about me in the articles or in the industry.”
‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ marks a significant collaboration between Aaryan and Johar, especially following their previous fallout during the production of ‘Dostana 2’. The romantic comedy, directed by Sameer Vidwans, is set to commence filming in May 2025 and is slated for a 2026 release. Ananya Panday has been confirmed as the female lead, reuniting with Aaryan after their 2019 film ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ .
