Janhvi Kapoor’s Shoot for Patriotic Thriller ‘Ulajh’ in Delhi Delayed Due to Floods

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has been compelled to cancel her travel plans to Delhi for a lengthy shoot due to the severe flood situation and the record-breaking water level of the Yamuna river. Kapoor was scheduled to arrive in the nation’s capital on July 10 to begin a 15-day filming schedule for her upcoming patriotic thriller, Ulajh. The film depicts the gripping journey of a young IFS officer from a renowned family of patriots who finds herself embroiled in a personal conspiracy.

An insider revealed that the entire team, including Kapoor, had initially planned to travel to Delhi on June 10. However, due to the rapidly changing weather conditions and the consequent flooding, the shooting plans had to be postponed. The heavy rainfall in the region disrupted the schedule, making it impossible to carry out the shoot as planned.

The team had intended to capture various iconic locations across Delhi, including the Lajpat Nagar market, the Red Fort, the Qutub Minar, and other landmarks in Old Delhi. They had also devised a detailed strategy to film in South Delhi. However, considering the safety of everyone involved, the crew had no choice but to delay the shoot. It should be noted that a decision regarding relocation has not yet been made.

According to the insider, the team is now aiming to travel to Delhi in mid-August to resume filming and scout out the locations once the flood situation has subsided. Despite the setback caused by the floods, the cast and crew remain committed to bringing the story of Ulajh to life on the silver screen.
