James Cameron talks about Avatar and MCU

Legendary director James Cameron recently compared the visual effects in his upcoming blockbuster “Avatar: The Way of Water” with those in Marvel’s “Iron Man” produced by ILM.

When asked about the enormous amount of visual effects work being created today, especially in superhero movies like Marvel, the director acknowledged its good impact on advancing the art form, according to Deadline, a US-based entertainment news website.

According to Cameron and Deadline, “Obviously, the big comic book superhero films have been driving the sheer volume of the industry, and the rising tide of technique raises everybody together. It gives you higher quality artists. You’ve got more tools and plug- ins and code. You’ve got more talented people writing code, and simulations, and all that sort of thing out there.”
