“Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past” Set to Revive Bollywood Horror on September 26, 2025
Vikram Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, and Anand Pandit reunite to deliver a chilling sequel to India’s pioneering 3D horror film, with Mimoh Chakraborty reprising his role.

After the spine-chilling success of “1920: Horrors of the Heart,” the formidable trio of Mahesh Bhatt, Anand Pandit, and Vikram Bhatt is back with “Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past,” a spiritual successor to the 2011 horror classic. The film is slated for a theatrical release on September 26, 2025.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh unveiled the first look of the film on social media, generating significant buzz among horror enthusiasts. Directed by Vikram Bhatt and presented by Mahesh Bhatt and Anand Pandit, the movie promises to be an immersive supernatural experience. Mimoh Chakraborty returns to the franchise, joined by Chetna Pandey in pivotal roles.
The production team comprises Anand Pandit, Rakesh Juneja, and Shwetambari Bhatt. Notably, Mimoh Chakraborty had previously hinted at the sequel’s development, confirming Vikram Bhatt’s continued directorial role.

The teaser for this eagerly awaited sequel has been finalized and is expected to be released soon. The original “Haunted 3D,” released in 2011, was India’s first stereoscopic 3D horror film and became one of the Bhatt camp’s most notable horror productions. The film starred Arif Zakaria, Tia Bajpai, Achint Kaur, and Mimoh Chakraborty, and was a commercial success.
The story centered around a young man who discovers a haunting connection to the spirit of a girl with a tragic history, leading him to uncover a harrowing past involving her piano instructor.
