Disney has announced a substantial expansion of its 2027 movie release schedule, adding 11 untitled projects to the calendar. Previously, the only films scheduled for that year were “Avengers: Secret Wars” on May 27, 2027, and an untitled “Star Wars” movie on December 17, 2027.
The newly added release dates include an untitled Marvel film set for July 23, 2027, and another for November 5, 2027. Additionally, Disney has scheduled an untitled Pixar feature for June 18, 2027, and an untitled Disney Animation film for November 24, 2027.
Other new dates include untitled Disney films set for August 8, 2025; September 12, 2025; February 12, 2027; March 5, 2027; April 2, 2027; May 28, 2027; August 6, 2027; September 17, 2027; and October 8, 2027.

Adjustments to Disney’s upcoming slate were also announced. Searchlight’s “A Real Pain,” directed by and starring Jesse Eisenberg alongside Kieran Culkin, has been moved to November 1, 2024, from its previous date of October 18. Additionally, untitled Disney movies have been moved up a week to August 7, 2026, and September 11, 2026.
Conversely, an untitled Disney movie set for March 7, 2025, and an untitled Marvel film scheduled for July 24, 2026, have been removed from the calendar.
Disney also confirmed updated titles for two major projects: “Fantastic Four: The First Steps,” set for release on July 25, 2025, and “Avengers: Doomsday,” scheduled for May 1, 2026. These titles were revealed during Marvel’s high-profile presentation at San Diego Comic-Con.
Disney has been enjoying significant box office success in 2024. “Deadpool & Wolverine” had a record-breaking opening weekend, earning the sixth-biggest first frame of all time. “Inside Out 2” surpassed “Frozen 2” last month to become the highest-grossing animated film ever globally. Meanwhile, “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” has also performed well.
