The new historical drama “Amsterdam,” directed by David O. Russell, is touted as an unique criminal epic about three close friends who find themselves at the centre of one of the most stunning secret conspiracies in American history, according to Hollywood actor Christian Bale. Leading roles as a doctor, a nurse, and a lawyer are played by Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington, respectively.

The draughts of “Amsterdam,” according to Bale, who previously collaborated with Russell on his Oscar-winning performances in “The Fighter” and “American Hustle,” began spilling out of his kitchen cabinet. The “Batman” actor revealed during a virtual press conference for the film, “I counted at least 14 in my kitchen cupboard, at least. I opened the drawer, which I assumed was a sock drawer, the other day, and there were another two in there as well.”
