Alison Brie Drops Exciting News About the Highly Anticipated Community Movie

Script Ready and Hopes High for Iconic Character’s Return

During a lively segment on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Alison Brie provided an exhilarating update on the much-awaited Community movie, disclosing that a script is now in hand.

“We got a script, which is a major update,” Brie exclaimed during the late-night program. “We got a script — you heard it here first.”

Describing her excitement after reading the script, Brie added, “I’ve read the script, and it’s so funny.”

Despite the absence of set filming dates, Brie, known for her role in Apples Never Fall, expressed her heartfelt desires concerning her beloved character, Annie.

“I hope that Annie hasn’t changed too much because I loved her just the way she was,” she shared.

Community originally debuted in 2009 on NBC, running for five seasons before its cancellation. Subsequently, the show was picked up by the now-defunct Yahoo! Screen for a final season, culminating after six successful seasons.

Created by Dan Harmon, the series boasted a stellar ensemble cast including Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong, Chevy Chase, and Jim Rash.

Peacock’s announcement in 2022 regarding the Community movie sparked widespread anticipation, with Dan Harmon and Andrew Guest tasked with crafting the script.

In a recent interview with Deadline, McHale hinted at the movie’s imminent production, stating, “I really do think it’s happening this year, and probably next week. It’s basically working around Donald’s schedule.”

Originally slated for a June 2023 shoot, production was delayed due to the summer’s double strikes.
