Review:
The American spy action film series ‘Mission: Impossible’ brings back the riveting thrill with its 7th installment, which is directed by Christopher McQuarrie. In ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,’ Tom Cruise is once again seen as Ethan Hunt, an iconic character he has been playing since 1996.
The 27-year-old franchise has created a massive impact and raised a huge fanbase, but as it’s said, “With great power comes great responsibility.” As excited as the fans were for the new release, there was an air of anxiety and hopes that a prebuild masterpiece doesn’t get the wrong brushstroke. But it is safe to say the mission, indeed, is quite successful.
The movie promises 163 minutes of pure entertainment and does justice to its genre of an espionage thriller. A wreath of thrill, action, and emotions doesn’t let the viewers have a moment of boredom.
From wild street chases to manoeuvring mind games, from action at an airport to fisticuffs on a running train top, and not to forget a swordfight on a bridge, the movie has it all.
Along with the fitting cinematography, the acting can be considered satisfactory. Putting an end to the fans’ worries, the ages of the characters and the actors are quite aligned.
The only downside, which for some viewers can even be suspenseful, is the fact that the movie ends on a cliffhanger, with the conclusion being predictable. However, the movie has a promising upcoming part 2.
Ratings: 4.5/5
In conclusion, the movie is a must-watch for ‘Mission: Impossible’ fans, and even if you watch it for the first time, it will intrigue you to watch the entire film series for better context and newborn interest. The movie won’t disappoint and is worth investing time in. Considering all these factors, ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ receives a four-and-a-half-star rating out of five.
