A fascinating story about a criminal investigation and a family that is threatened by it.

Plot
Vijay Salgaonkar, the most intelligent man in his village, started as a cable operator seven years ago. But today, he owns a theater and chooses which movies to show based on his critical analysis. The happiness is short-lived, however, as Meera’s former coworker and IG, Tarun Ahlawat, re-enters their lives. Tarun invests two years in Vijay’s family in acquiring courtroom evidence. The film’s last hour focuses on Vijay’s efforts to get his family out of jail following their participation in a self-defense crime.

Review

Drishyam gets off to a fascinating start. Vijay’s struggles are realistically portrayed, as is the widespread suspicion among the town’s populace that he is the murderer. Several moments in the first act are particularly memorable, including Anju’s seizure, her conversation with Jenny, and Tarun’s introduction. The film’s halfway point is a twisty turn that sets the tone for the rest of the voyage. Tarun’s encounter with Nandini and his daughters after the break stands out. However, the final half-hour is saved for the climax. Audiences in theaters will cheer and whistle at the unexpected plot twist.

As always, Ajay Devgn gives an outstanding performance. He slips right back into Vijay’s shoes and provides no grounds for complaint. The inclusion of Akshaye Khanna in the series is fantastic. Character-wise and performance-wise, he easily steals the show. When performed, Tabu is stunning in its restraint. There is a consistently impressive performance by Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, and others.

Abhishek Pathak does a great job as director. He has added just the right amount of suspense, drama, and excitement. People watching it will be unable to tear themselves away from their screens. In the most crucial moment, his genius shines through. The score by Devi Sri Prasad fits the film perfectly. An exciting and cinematic tune plays in the background.

The cinematography by Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary is innovative and orderly. Authenticity is maintained in Tarpan Shrivastava’s production design. The outfits worn by Navin Shetty, Sanam Ratansi, and Tanya Oak look like they were taken right from the real world. The behavior of Amin Khatib does not cause any alarm. The editing by Sandeep Francis could have been tighter. The film, which runs for 142 minutes, could have been trimmed by 15 to 20 minutes.

Rating – 4 out of 5 stars.

There is a lot of interest in seeing what happens to Vijay Salgaonkar. Thus it could have a good opening weekend at the box office.
