PLOT
The story revolves around an attorney and a psychologist turned matchmaker. Later, When the matchmaker shifts into an office next to a suspicious attorney, their harsh conflict is converted into a growing attraction. The movie is about what comes when two successful people meet with very different personalities.
REVIEW
Plan A Plan B is a pleasant, humorous, and romantic comedy movie. It presents Kaustubh Chougule (Ritesh Deshmukh) a divorce attorney and Nirali Vohra (Tamannaah Bhatia) a psychologist.
The plot takes place with Kaustubh, aka Kosty delivering a lecture to a couple on the point. He is trying to solve the case by getting them divorced. On another side, Nirali, who operates a matrimonial venture with her mother Kiran (Poonam Dhillon), is all for attaching cracks between warring couples.
When Nirali moves into an office room right next to Kaustubh’s office, things get uncomfortable, then they get heated because their business is too different from each other , and they conclude to do a childlike fight with each other, which eventually gets borderline funny.
Nirali’s mother is a widow who begins her life again to live it up because she thinks age is only a number. She goes to her daughter’s office to invite everyone on her 60th birthday. She orders Nirali and Kosty not to fight till her birthday to which both agree.
On the other hand, their past life is shown in which Nirali is unable to live down the personal tragedy of losing his partner, Varun. Her friend Seema (Kusha Kapila) wants to help her to move on while dealing with the loss.
Kosty is worse off. His marriage has been ruined. His wife Runjhun (Bidita Bag)wants him to give a divorce but he does not want to. To get rid of her, he drinks, dances, and hooks up with girls on dating apps.
Runjhun meets Nirali and requests her to solve her problem but later on, Nirali and Kosty fall for each other in the most unconvincing way. Kosty disappears for a few days and Nirali feels cheated.
Later, Kosty is back and they all celebrate Nirali’s mother’s birthday beautifully. Kosty tells Nirali the reasons for escaping for a few days. And at last, he proposes to Nirali and they live happily ever after.
The movie deserves 3 stars out of 5
Even though the conclusion of the movie feels more anticlimactic than truly satisfying. It is as ambitious as it is formulaic.
Plan A plan B movie is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Trilok Malhotra, K. R. Harish, and Rajat Arora. It is streaming on Netflix.
The movie shows a simplistic and juvenile story online.
